If you're planning a construction project, it's important that you are able to recognize what a reliable roofing contractor looks like. Luckily, there are some key traits you can identify in a roofing business that will determine if you are dealing with a dependable roofing contractor . Seek these signs to start a partnership you can trust.

They Have Insurance

Some states do not require roofing companies to get licensed. However, the roofing contractor that you are considering should have a regular business license and insurance. Insurance is critical for anyone that is going to work on your property.

If a worker is hurt while working on your roof, responsibility should fall on the roofing company, not on you. Insurance also protects your property against damage. For example, if a roofer drops a tool and it comes crashing through your window, the roofer will be liable for the cost of repairs and their insurance company should cover them. If they do not have insurance, you will have no recourse.

They Are Courteous and Arrive on Time

A key sign that a roofing company is reliable is its level of punctuality. If you wait longer than fifteen minutes to meet with the roofer to get an estimate, move on to the next company. If a roofing company representative doesn't call to let you know they are running late, that's an issue. Your time is important and it should be respected.

The company representative should be courteous and the company should be responsive. If you call to ask a question, a high-quality business will be forthright with its information. A commitment to customer service is evidence that you can sign on with a business confidently.

They Are Well Established With a Great Reputation

The right roofing contractor offers a record of experience and has built a strong reputation for delivering their services as promised and on time. There are about 5 million roofs installed every year according to Roofing Contractor Magazine, so it should be easy to find customers who are pleased with their results. Looking for positive reviews can ensure that you are satisfied with your roofing project.

If you find a roofing expert near you that shows all of these signs, you can trust you'll love your roofing project. Call our team at Dirickson Creek Construction today to learn more.
